Choosing the right format
Use a detailed sheet when you need ball-by-ball records and bowling analysis. A simpler sheet may suit a short local game. A PDF-labeled sample is a printable reference; do not assume every download is an Excel workbook or contains automatic formulas.
Details to include
- Teams, match date, venue, innings and player names
- Runs, balls faced, boundaries, dismissals and fall of wickets
- Bowling figures, extras and a reconciled team total
How to use the template
- Enter the match and player details before play.
- Record each delivery using your competition’s scoring convention.
- Reconcile batter runs plus extras with the team total and check bowling entries.
Worked example
If batter totals add to 96 and extras total 9, the innings total is 105. A wide contributes to extras rather than the batter’s personal score. Follow the applicable rules for delivery and over records.
