A basketball score sheet keeps a written record of points and other match events. The templates below offer layouts for school games, local competitions and recreational matches. Focus on the scoring fields your competition requires rather than unrelated basketball history.

Choosing the right format
Choose a sheet with space for both teams, player identifiers and period totals. Detailed sheets may also record fouls and timeouts. Competition rules differ, so use the organizer’s required scoring procedure for official games.
Details to include
- Teams, game date, player names or numbers and scorer
- Scoring entries and period or running totals
- Fouls, timeouts and result confirmation where required
How to use the template
- Enter team and player information before the game.
- Record scoring events promptly using a consistent notation.
- Check period totals and reconcile them with the running score.
Worked example
If a team begins a sequence with 12 points and records a two-point score followed by a three-point score, its total becomes 17. Use separate foul and timeout fields where the sheet provides them.
Download and printing notes
Check the destination and file format of each existing download before using it. Some samples link to an external resource; its availability and terms are controlled by that provider.
